Fall Fest
Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day celebrating the lifesaving work of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA and the incredible community that makes it possible.
Fall Fest is our largest adoption event of the year— but it's also a celebration of what happens when animal shelters, rescue organizations, local businesses, and neighbors come together to create second chances for animals.
Admission is free, and this year's event will be bigger than ever, featuring:
45+ local vendors, rescue partners, and community organizations
Free adoptions all weekend—both at Fall Fest and at the shelter—thanks to the generosity of Piedmont Tire
Family-friendly activities including trick-or-treating, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, games, and gourd painting
Crowd favorites like the dog costume contest, dog pie-eating contest, raffle, and flash tattoos with Have Heart Tattoo
Adoptable dogs and cats looking for a home
Every adoption, every reunion, and every second chance starts with a community that cares. Thank you for being part of ours.

Mother's Day Market at Eastwood
Join Heart of Virginia Artisans and Eastwood Farm and Winery for a festive Mother's Day Market on Sunday, May 10th from 12–5 PM. This family-friendly celebration features a curated artisan market, food trucks, oysters, a flower bar pop-up where you can craft a custom bouquet for Mom, and live harp music from 1–4 PM, with activities for the kids to keep the whole family entertained. 13th Annual bow-WOW-walk!
Hosted by the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA, bow-WOW-walk is a family-friendly, dog-forward 5K and community celebration, featuring a trail run, kids dash, vendors, contests, and more—with every step supporting the SPCA's life-saving mission.
